You In Mind...
Aesthetic Healing LLC was created with you in mind. Established in 2022, owner Dr. Marisol Norris, a therapist and consultant recognized for her work in arts and health, wanted to increase access to culturally sustainable and transformative healing approaches in care environments. As a healthcare practitioner, educator, community organizer, and health advocate with over 13 years of teaching in academia, Marisol thoroughly understands the human need for wholeness and the liberatory power of the arts to deepen relationships, especially within Black and Indigenous communities. She expanded Aesthetic Healing LLC to provide equitable therapeutic services and creative placemaking for individuals from all walks of life and organizations at the intersection of arts, health, and transformation.
Her clinical and supervisory experience spans medical and community health settings, addressing identity, life transitions, trauma and loss, familial ruptures, mental health, addictions, chronic illness, housing insecurity, community violence, care, and wellness, and organizational resilience. Whether you’re an individual navigating life’s challenges, a caregiver seeking familial support, an artist or creative community in need of therapeutic spaces, or an organization seeking restorative practices, Marisol is dedicated to fostering compassionate environments where you can authentically explore concerns, build connections, deepen your capacity to navigate daily life, and receive support on your unique journey toward health and wellness.

We Believe in An Approach That Is...
We center an approach that is holistic, trauma-informed, embodied, culturally sustaining, and justice-informed, ensuring that we provide comprehensive and compassionate care to individuals and organizations.
Wholistic
Our wholistic approach recognizes that individuals are complex beings with interconnected physical, emotional, mental, social, and spiritual dimensions. We believe in supporting the whole person and strive to create personalized care that address all aspects of a person's well-being.
Culturally Sustaining
Culturally sustaining approach acknowledges that cultural factors play a significant role in shaping worldviews and experiences. We recognize the inherent value of seeing through a cultural lens. We adapt therapeutic approaches so people feel respected, valued, and understood and all healthy cultural orientations are maintained.
Trauma-Informed
Being trauma-informed means understanding the widespread impact of trauma and integrating this understanding into every aspect of our practice. We prioritize creating a safe and supportive environment for our clients, where their experiences are validated and their healing is supported.
Justice-Oriented
Justice-oriented care recognizes the impact of systemic injustices, such as discrimination and lack of access to resources, on health and well-being. We understand that these injustices contribute to health and well-being and are committed to making meaningful change by addressing the root causes of these inequities through our work.
Embodied
An embodied practice recognizes the significance of the body in shaping our experiences and emotions. We incorporate body-based approaches to help clients access deeper levels of healing. Through embodied therapy, clients learn to listen to their bodies' signals and respond to them in a way that promotes a greater awareness, resilience, and well-being in individuals and communities.
Relational
A relational approach emphasizes the importance of the therapeutic relationship and connection in creating a healing and growth-orientated space. We honor a collaborative process based on trust, empathy, and mutual respect. By exploring relational patterns, clients can gain deeper insight and develop healthier ways of relating to others.
